The contrast between gentle fairways between apple trees at the bottom of the valley and greens in a high alpine landscape characterizes the golf courses of Merano and South Tyrol.
Between almost 300 and 1.600 vertical meters you will find several Golf courses in South Tyrol. All are easily reachable from Merano. All offer fantastic views of nature and mountains. Close to the city, there is the Lana Golf Course, an elegant 9-hole course with magnificent views and a medium-difficulty game, and Golf Course Passeier, an 18-hole course. It is one of the most difficult golf courses in South Tyrol, as some of the fairways are inclined due to the hillside location, making the assessment of the beats a challenge. Further away are the 18-hole golf courses St. Peterberg (about 1.25 hours drive) and Dolomiti (about 1 hour drive), both located at over 1,000 meters altitude. Both are beautifully designed and invite you to an elegant game.
