At the height of the Muthöfe, at about 1,400 meters above sea level, the annual spectacle begins. At first, it is the cherry trees whose leaves turn red. Then other trees follow and slowly the colour sinks down into the valley. The vines only follow late, their leaves glow yellow-orange for a long time until finally the larches change their color. The days are beautiful, the air is extremely clear and the temperatures pleasantly mild until the end of November. You can usually swim outside until the beginning of October. An ideal time for mountain tours, as the summer thunderstorm is now banned, even if the days are a bit shorter.
