Orographisch right of the Passer, the river that divides the city of Merano, is the winter promenade with its loggia. Built in the 60s of the 19th century, the loggia is a successful expression of Art Nouveau and impresses with the large paintings of various sights of South Tyrol.
The name "winter" derives from the fact that this walk is oriented towards the south and therefore also offers pleasant temperatures in winter.
